Hi
Just wanting to get your opinions on a little issue I'm struggling with at the mo and that is getting a decent photo of my cards I want to post.
I try and take them where there is as much light as poss (in the conservatory is best), but have only got the camera on my mobile phone. When I look at other people's blogs their pictures seem to be much more close up than I can get, I end up with loads of background.
So I'm not sure whether I need to invest in a cheapish digital camera, or just to try and tweak my pictures in picassa and stick with my mobile. Any comments gratefully received.

Less is More - Week 17 - Pick a Square
So after spending a very cold, wet and muddy bank holiday weekend in Wales (there were some good bits too!). I came home to find a new challenge from Less is More which this week is Pick a Square.
So once I was warm, unpacked and all clean, I set too coming up with ideas. This is the card I made. I used stamps from Paula Pascual "Simple Flowers", Memento ink pad "Grape Jelly" and (although you might struggle to see) some Art Institute crystal glitter on the white flowers.
Hope you like it, there may be more to come cos I am loving this challenge.

2 Sisters Challenge
Hi everyone again, I'm really getting into this Blogging lark. I'm now officially on half term holiday and don't go back til the 6th June so hopefully can get more cards and blogging done.
Anyway, I've decided to enter this card into the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog, which this week is use a digi. I made this card for my best friends son Lewis who as you can see has just turned 5. The Digi is from Little Musings and I think he's called Alfonso (he was a freebie) and I coloured him with copics but he was ideal for Lewis.
Anyway, hope you like him.
Bye for now

Pink and Lilac Challenge No 8
Hi everyone,
It's my day off today (hurray) and both kids are at school, so once the hoover has been round and the tea slowly cooking in the oven I had a bit of time to myself. So I thought I would make a card to enter into this weeks challenge at The Ribbon Girl. The theme is pink and lilac so its right up my street.
I've used:-
Cardstock & Candi :- Craftwork Cards
Backing paper:- Pink Petticoat
Stamp - LOTV
Coloured with Copics (still a bit of a learning curve)
I also made my own little flowers which I learnt on a recent workshop with Craftwork Cards, they are really easy to do.
I'm also entering this card in two other challenges:-
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Pale Pretty Pastels
Bearly Mine Challenges No 11 - Die Cuts and Lace
Hope you like it.

I'm on a Roll
So, after completing one challenge I thought I'd have a go at another (I had not kids yesterday afternoon, so I could play) so I did this one at Sweet Stampin Challenge. The theme being In the Garden.
I recently bought some new stamps from Craftwork Cards. The set is called Warren and I just think he is sooo cute. The papers and Candi is also Craftwork Cards. You can't really tell (I'm not a good photographer) but I stamped him with Stazon and then painted him with pearlescent paint. Hope you like him.

First Challenge
I've been looking at the lovely cards made on the Less Is More Blog for some time now, but never had the chance to make my own cards for it. The "Less is More" aspect is right up my street. Well I've finally done it. The challenge this week is Butterflies and here is my attempt...
The Cardstock is Craftwork Cards as is the stamp which I've stamped with Memento Ink. Had to re-think the design half way through, slight technical error as the punch would not go through the brown card (just too thick), but I think it's turned out ok. I've gone round the edges with Platinum Stickles. Not too bad for a first challenge attempt I think.

First Card
Thought I'd start of my Blogging with a card I made recently for a friends Birthday. I really don't like making cards for men, I'm more a pink and flowery kind o gal, but I think it came out quite well, thanks to Pink Petticoat Big Fella CD Rom. The card stock is an Eleganct card from Craftwork Cards. Will have to sort out the lighting etc. still early days and I took the photo with my mobile.
The cake has been coloured with Copics.

Helloooo Blog Land - sI there anyone out there?
Hi there, this is my very first Blog post and I'm not sure whether I'm excited or a bit nervous. I've been blog hopping round for a bit now admiring other people's works of creativeness, I follow quite a few but never got up the courage to do it myself, but now here I am, and I really hope I will keep up with it. It may be a bit 'trial and error' at the moment, I'm not bad with a computer, my husband is alot better, but we've not really looked into blogging before now so it's like the blind leading the blind, but I'm sure I'll get into it.
So here we are, long may it continue. I'm gonna post this and try and work out how to upload some photos of my cards for the next post.
See you soon x
